2008 WAM "Summer of Cycling" Camp

Spring Fling 2008 Was an Overwhelming Success!

This is the first race I've been to all season where everyone was smiling and happy including the Deputies on Duty. Thanks to all of the cyclists who participated and made this event a wonderful experience for everyone. It was our first go-around with the AMB timing system and although we had a few mishaps, it was a fantastic weekend.

Not only did all of the participants win over the hearts of the Volusia County and Deland Police Depatments, but the Spring Garden Ranch has offered its facility again for the 2009 Spring Fling of Cycling which is already in the planning stages. Next April will feature an 84 mile road race for the Pro 1,2 field.
